Lover’s Unite
Lovers Unite!
That’s it. We will expect no less! And anyone who does not want to enjoy the call, you are free to go!
The beauty of it all. To love and be loved. Why else do we do all of this?
And especially during the Holidays.
IAM in the midst of Christmas.
So it is not too late to say, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
IAM sending this late notice to be sure you get the message and to remind you of our
“Last Wednesday Open “Mike†This Wednesday, December 29, 2010 8 pm
It is “still†open “Mike†Michael De Patria is expected.
But we hope we see Stanley too. He’s been preoccupied. He got a job 🙁
We love him just as much, but we will see. And Angel, Torres. He called from Ohio.
He misses us and misses Stanley too. Says he needs his “fix†from Stanley. His “inspirationâ€Â Oh and he is getting married too! Angel, that is…
So Open “Mikeâ€
Hopefully, Sam with come out and play his drums, and Don will read and sing with Mike. IAM preparing a few anouncements as well. We’ll all bring a little something…
It will be fun. It is our last for 2010. And man what a year it was and boy what a storm we had!
Slowed us all down!
We needed it. It was nice. It extended our Holiday.
In fact, we are not finished with it at all.
IAM honored to continue the 2010 Holiday Celebration with you.
There’s so much to tell so much to share, so much to enjoy together.
So come out for our “Open Mike.â€
Hear about our accomplishments this year and our dreams for the great future we as artists can offer to our community.
And if we can’t see you right away, we look forward to a great lineup for 2011.
Stay true, give love and receive blessings!
That’s the easy part.
and
Happy Holidays and many more blessings in the New Year!

Glacial Art Magic
IAM wondering what we mean by it.
and IAM unsure of what to say about it at all, except that we painstakingly discussed it
and bantered until we were able to settle in it!
Why should you care?
and why do we go to such lengths to discover it for you?
If I just list our events and calendars!
Without any love at all?
then,
IAM giving up the chance to do it.
Ever.
So IAM thinking there’s good reason for the discussion.
In addition, IAM trying to say that it is not all our idea!
It begins with the Office of Cultural Events and the City of Paterson’s theme!
IAM glad to start from somewhere you know.
“Paterson’s Magical Winter Wonderland”? Yes it is.
We seek an authentic artistic expression in it,
We want to, and we do it, or lose the chance.
And there is you.
Without you IAM nothing.
And like any good purveyor of cultural enrichment,
IAM hoping to offer something profound within the confines of our constraints.
So the “Glacial Art Magic” Show appears.
A cold, crystalline spell covers the earth.
thundfunda.com
And we rush around in it.
It is that simple.
Like magic, we change our clothes, our activities, our food, sleep and stance.
It demands reverence.
IAM astounded by the icy roads and velvety sky.
IAM miniscule again.

IAM sad when the Big Top Comes Down
Big Top Perceptions
And IAM happy to say we did it again!
We did what we could. We came together and had a great show!
The artwork is extraordinary as usual.
The atmosphere: from laid back to dance party madness.
Most importantly, our content had potency… IAM excited about it.
But life under the Big Top is relative. Ask Julian.
 Isn’t he adorable?
(Don’t worry I can say that, I saw him grow up in the circus!)
Well, he was moved.
Our perceptions of the “Big Top†endeared him.
But what’s not to like about the circus anyway?
The clowns? The music? The girls?
I’m thinking, “the rain? the vacant seats, the work involved?â€â€¨Seems lonely too in a weird way, like not quite understood.Yeah… Circus Life!
It”s teamwork to the “enth” degree!!.
… and that’s something to think about.
It sure made us happy!
It is what it is. Good, bad, up, down. It goes on.
We weather the storm and set up the next show!
If we learn from our mistakes,
We will see the day where we stand up, Our arms raised in exaltation.
That’s how its ends. The “Big Top Perception†show.
With the child is on top of her world in a joyous stance!
She takes her place on top of the world! No kidding!
The little clown succeeds in seeing her beloved child, make it!
Humanity makes it!
We have to believe in it or we have nothing!

Rainbowseekers goes to New Orleans
Oct 1-4, 2010
Christine Conforti, Kathy Benevento, Beverly and Cheryl are to travel for a reception at the Contemporary Arts Center in NOLA. This project celebrates the endearing exchange of art works and messages from children of Paterson to the children of New Orleans in what the children understand “as mutual hardships.“ 9/11 and Katrina link our communities. History, geography, the arts and sciences are cross-referenced creating a unique opportunity to raise awareness and encourage understanding across the miles.

Italian Heritage Festival
Support needed please inquire.
IAM is hosting an Italian Heritage Documentary project. Bring your story to us at the Italian Heritage Festival Lou Costello Park, Paterson, New Jersey on October 9 and 10, 6pm-10pm. We encourage you to submit your family memories and stories, current interviews, phone and video clips, home movies, photos, relics, clothing, other objects, etc. Bring what you want us to record and collect for posterity. Provide your own audio, video or we will record your subject. Your parents, grand parents, cousins and they can tell their stories about how it was in Paterson.
Recordings will be on green screen as well as on locations. Appointments are encouraged for your convenience. October 10 marks the start of this project. There is great potential for Italian-American descendants and for the community at large in this important project. Please contact us for more information.
